Why are children so often more entertained with the packaging than their new toy? Can outdoor play reverse the effects and rising occurrences of nature deficit and attention disorders, childhood obesity, and some children’s fear of the outdoors? We feel that children's creativity is often underestimated by traditional playground designs, which often prescribe how play should happen instead of allowing it to evolve and change through the unique dynamics of each play session. Play structures and cool spinning equipment can be wonderful additions to a playground, but they are merely pieces of the play environment puzzle - like shelters, look-out towers, magic trees, and deadly alligator swamps! In order to encourage better physical and emotional development –and FUN- we look to integrate nature, adventure, and movement in ways that are only limited by a child's imagination.
