Integrating a Popular Destination with the Adjacent River Corridor
Location: Littleton, CO
Stream worked with Hudson Gardens to develop and implement a vision plan to integrate the gardens—physically and programmatically—with the South Platte River. The new interface will include an environmental education center, specialty gardens, event spaces, and new connections to the facility’s extensive garden display areas. With the vision plan largely complete, Stream developed a detailed design for Phase 1, which included a new parking lot, an event green, a water resource focused environmental learning and nature play area, and the South Platte Promenade, a new garden feature with overlooks and water features that connects the heavily utilized South Platte Greenway to Hudson Gardens’ popular rose garden.
