Renovated Regional Park in Adams County, Colorado
Location: Adams County, Colorado
Stream designed park improvements for renovation of the 40-acre Rotella Regional Park in Adams County, Colorado. Prior to renovation, the park’s infrastructure was inadequate to meet visitor demands. Stream evaluated access, parking, and drainage and proposed strategic reorganization of the parking configuration and recreation areas to improve visitor experience. Stream proposed a linear “parking promenade” to improve circulation, provide increased access, and resolve challenging drainage issues. Stream’s design also includes new picnic areas and shelters, ADA compliant trails, playground renovation, new stormwater detention and water quality facilities, a custom-designed human sundial, and site lighting.
