Regional Trail, Park, and Drainage Design
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Stream collaborated with the project team to develop a design for flood reduction and public space at the Municipal Center and City Center Park in Aurora, Colorado. The project improves flood conveyance and drainage and offers a regional trail, park, and open space for a new mixed-use development adjacent to an RTD light rail station and City Center.
Stream provided design alternatives that increased developable land, open space, and recreational amenities while providing cost-effective solutions for drainage and flood conveyance. Stream worked with multiple stakeholders, including Aurora Water and the City’s Parks and Recreation staff, to develop designs for a multimodal trail system that connects the RTD light rail station to the Highline Canal, as well as City Center Park and the Aurora Municipal Center.
