Creek Restoration and Recreational Areas Development to Improve Water Quality and Enhance Visitor Experience
The Westerly Creek Restoration and Water Quality Vision Plan is the result of a feasibility study and concept design development originally intended for a single-function regional water quality facility and which, through collaboration, has become a multi-beneficial solution that expands regional water quality capacity, restores Westerly Creek, reduces flood hazard areas, and provides recreation and trail amenities. The Plan’s recommendations for Westerly Creek include natural stabilization of the stream corridor, ecological restoration and channel improvements, floodplain reconnection, increased connectivity with existing parks and trails, maximized open space, and new opportunities for recreation.
